Blueprint Review

My story “Flowers” came out today.  This is truly a lovely magazine, and I quite enjoy it.

I hit a new critique group the other night, and they were amazing!  What a quirky, quietly intelligent group of people.  It was a pleasure to be there.  Anyway, they helped me on a story that I am quite partial to, (my first speculative fiction) but it’s been reaping in the rejections.  I plan to incorporate some of their suggestions.

Hooray on the writing and submitting front!  It’s been going well.  Thanks for all of your support!

Also, my stunningly gorgeous friend is going to cut my hair tonight.  She assures me that she’ll make me all pretty.  So that means an updated “About Me” profile picture, hooray!

Pieces out: 38

Goal: 40 and two more agent queries

  1. This is one of my favorites! I love the description of the moon as “fat and heavy in the sky”. This was an awesome, heartbreaking story!

  2. “Flowers” = a subtle sorrow, part faerie tale, part poetry, part dream. All delicious.

Also, I’ve never been called “quietly” intelligent before. 🙂
