I went to Mark Ryden’s “Wondertoonel” exhibit a few years back, and it was one of the most inspiring, bizarre things that I have ever seen. This painting absolutely enchanted me. When my friend was telling us about the exhibit beforehand, he said, “Expect little girls with big heads. And lots of meat.” Well. He was exactly right.
I am one of the 70 or so authors in the Vicious Verses and Reanimated Rhymes anthology that just came out. Hooray! Check out the synopsis:
The dead rise. The world dies. Mankind falls and enters Death’s halls. Over 90 poems of carnage, hopelessness and despair mixed with oodles of the living dead await you. Featuring poems by W. Bill Czolgosz, Paul A. Freeman, Keith Gouveia, J.H. Hobson, Rich Ristow, Lester Smith, Steve Vernon, Zed Zefram, Zombie Zak and many others, Vicious Verses and Reanimated Rhymes will not only melt your brain . . . it’ll tear out your jugular!
A lot of familiar names are in there, so check it out if you’re into zombies. Which is apparently half of the universe right now, judging by the stories that I’m running across.
All right, people. This meme has been a lot of fun, but all good things must come to an end! You are now unceremoniously booted out of my head.

Wait, wait! Don’t boot me out yet! Awww. I still had half a sandwich in there!
Yay for Z-poetry!
Mr. Shark will be sad his visitors have gone 🙁
And I love how you guys are competing but ended up with pieces published in the same anthology! 😉
Well that makes my earlier purchase all the sweeter.
I can take or leave zombies. Some are made of pure win (Bio Zombie and Zombie Zak, for ex.) while others…meh.
Violet- Sure, we’re in the same anthology, but my poem is before his in the ToC. 😉
Violet – I’m pretty sure mine was ACCEPTED first though!
Matt- You think so? Wanna compare acceptance dates? Or are you just saying that he accepted yours first, but mine was BETTER so he skipped it ahead?
I noticed that W. Bill Czolgosz’s poem had to sit between us.
That picture is made of awesome. 🙂
