Love Letters: WIP Wednesday

Still over the moon about the Skipp anthology.  But that doesn’t mean that I’m slacking.

I threw down the gauntlet and issued a challenge to a few friends on Monday.  Each one of us made it into an e-book, and that is pretty cool.  Getting into an antho is always fun, but crashing the party as a group is even more fun!

My friend Harley May wrote me a love letter because I immortalized her forever.  I needed a good dose of snark and that woman knows how to bring it.  Yes, we totally get the “Harley and Mercedes” joke.  Life is full of delightfully off-kilter things like that.  😉

I finished Chapter 1 of The Williams Syndrome Project!  Then I rejoiced, skipped Chapters 2, 3, and 4, and wrote the Awesomely Awesome Chapter 5.  It was a rather emotional chapter for me, and I was richly rewarded when Battle Bunny read it last night at our writer’s group and had tears in his eyes.  I’m pleased with the way that it is turning out, and that the voice I’m using seems to be working.  Then I zipped back and wrote Chapter 2, because that’s how I roll, yo.  End result?  Three chapters completed.  I am extremely pleased. 🙂

What are you currently working on?

  1. What a coincidence. I got into an e-book this week with a group too! This is teh strangest. No, srsly, you rock for bringing it to our attention, m’dear.

Yay for WIPs! I ain’t got nuthin this week. Too much else goin’ on in RL. My CP is going to rake me over the coals, come Friday, but I’ll assuage the guilt with vodka. It’s how I roll.

(And Natalie… drunk, slutty flies? Nice.)

  2. It’s always an accomplished feeling when you complete a chapter, but knowing how close this is to your heart means so much more! Congrats!

And the love letter was sweet. Thanks for sharing it with us.
