Saving Time With Freezer Dinners

So this was a project I did the other day. With Pretty Little Dead Girls coming out and the other stories in the works, I knew it would be crunch time. Not cooking dinner every night would give me an extra hour of writing time.

I spent five dollars and bought this menu plan. You can put it together yourself, but believe me, the five dollars was worth it.

First I gathered the ingredients. And made my daughter peel potatoes. Bwa ha!

We diced everything up.

And then we bagged the dinners. I ended up with twenty, including things like Italian Chicken, beef roast, pork chops, etc. It’s a heavily meat-based plan, but we eat a lot of veggie soups, so they’ll be great in rotation. I thaw the bag in the fridge overnight, toss it in the crockpot the next morning, and then life is beautiful.

  1. Tina and I have been making our meals for the week and freezing them. Its a great way to save time and money. And with our schedules we really don’t get to eat together that often anyway so its nice not having to figure out what I’m going to eat when I get home.
